Controversial Prophet Sherperd Bushiri and his Wife Mary Bushiri briefly appeared before Court in Pretoria on Monday. They are facing charges of money laundering and contravention of the Prevention of Organized Crime Act. Their appearance follows their arrest on Friday from their lavish home in North west. They were arrested by the HAWKS on allegations that they transport money from South Africa to Malawi on monthly basis without registering it with SARS. Their alleged acts found to be incontravesion with the law. During their appearance, their supporters were gathered around the court threatening not to vote if their Major 1 is not released from jail. Their threats comes at a time when South Africa is heading to the poll later this year. Bushiri's arrest emanate from the case which the Hawks had been following since 2015. "No Major 1, No vote.
