Supra Mahumapelo reinstated as ANC Northwest Chairperson

The suspended ANC Provincial Chairperson in Northwest Supra Mahumapelo together with the PEC were reinstated by court on Wednesday. This comes after their disbandment by ANC National Executive Committee last year. They won against ANC and now there will be two centres of power in Northwest since Job Mokgoro is the Coordinator deployed in government by the party.

Northwest experienced several protests last year against the leadership of Mahumapelo until the ANC disbanded it's provincial structure. It was reported that during that time some members of the structure were believed to be creating divisions within the organization.

Collaboration between government and social partner brought Marobathota High school in Moria outside Polokwane, Limpopo to an improved facility. The school's infrustrutre was refurbished to become a motivational and encouraging place of learning. The refurbishing of the school was done together with the Evelyn Lekganyane clinic. On Wednesday South African President Cyril Ramaphosa together with the Zion Christian Church Bishop Barnabas Lekganyane officiated the handing over and opening of the school. The initiative is part of the five urgent tasks identified by President Ramaphosa in the State of the Nation Address earlier this year. These tasks include improving the education system and developing required skills as well as improving the conditions of life for all South Africans, especially the poor. Thulare III demands tribal books from Sekhukhune

PARAMOUNT King of Bapedi tribe Thulare Thulare III want the former regent Kgaudi Sekhukhune to bring back all the documents he used during his era. Thulare says that will make him forgive Sekhukhune and continue with their lives as son and uncle. The two had been in a fight over a throne for years. The fight started between Thulare's late father Rhyne and Sekhukhune.  The matter was settled by the High court last year when declaring Thulare as the rightful King of Bapedi tribe over Sekhukhune. The tribal fight divided the communities in Sekhukhune area. Sekhukhune did not back down and took the matter to the Supreme Court of Appeal to set aside the high court decision.
