Marobathota's Uniqueness at its Best

Collaboration between government and social partner brought Marobathota High school in Moria outside Polokwane, Limpopo to an improved facility. The school's infrustrutre was refurbished to become a motivational and encouraging place of learning. The refurbishing of the school was done together with the Evelyn Lekganyane clinic. On Wednesday South African President Cyril Ramaphosa together with the Zion Christian Church Bishop Barnabas Lekganyane officiated the handing over and opening of the school.

The initiative is part of the five urgent tasks identified by President Ramaphosa in the State of the Nation Address earlier this year. These tasks include improving the education system and developing required skills as well as improving the conditions of life for all South Africans, especially the poor.

"We are happy to accept this school as government today. It is the best skill the republic has ever seen. At this school there is laboratory of Biology. We schooled where there were no laboratories. Dont be surprised to see President going back to school to be able to use the laboratory. We are also celebrating collaboration between government and the Church. They find a way of working together," said Ramaphosa.

The refurbished and extended facilities at Marobathota include science and computer laboratory as well as a consumer centre. The two were revamped by ZCC. The school obtained number 5 in the Capricorn district. The school is now in a state to can be able to accommodate other learners from other provinces.

Ramaphosa emphasized that the two projects of the school and the clinic will assist in ensuring that the health and education of South Africans are in the betterment. He said learners schooling at Marobathota will be encouraged to wake up every morning to attend classes due to the developed infrastructure.

Bishop Lekganyane said the community must build educational bridges between children and adults by taking care of each other.

"We will finally in all our provinces attain quality education and we will feel that God blessed us. We will be able to glorify God our Lord. It is very important that we as the religious based and faith organization should take lead in teaching respect to our congregations particularly the youth," he said.
