Supra Mahumapelo reinstated as ANC Northwest Chairperson

The suspended ANC Provincial Chairperson in Northwest Supra Mahumapelo together with the PEC were reinstated by court on Wednesday. This comes after their disbandment by ANC National Executive Committee last year. They won against ANC and now there will be two centres of power in Northwest since Job Mokgoro is the Coordinator deployed in government by the party. Northwest experienced several protests last year against the leadership of Mahumapelo until the ANC disbanded it's provincial structure. Limpopo is the place to be this weekend when the province will be welcoming Marula season during the Go loma morula celebration in Ga-Sekororo outside Tzaneen. Go loma Marula or Ku Luma Vukanyi is a traditional way of getting the first taste of Marula beer for the season which is normally being done by men first before they can allow women to drink. It is however, the women who gather Marula and brew the same Marula beer. The event will take place in a joint tourism attraction and cultural celebration whereby the department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism together with Sport Arts and Culture will join hands. This will also be the kick start of the Marula festival which will take place in March in Phalaborwa. The taste of morula beer differs and there is the one believed to be assisting men to perform between the sheets. It is believed to be the sexual booster. Controversial Prophet Sherperd Bushiri and his Wife Mary Bushiri briefly appeared before Court in Pretoria on Monday. They are facing charges of money laundering and contravention of the Prevention of Organized Crime Act. Their appearance follows their arrest on Friday from their lavish home in North west. They were arrested by the HAWKS on allegations that they transport money from South Africa to Malawi on monthly basis without registering it with SARS. Their alleged acts found to be incontravesion with the law. During their appearance, their supporters were gathered around the court threatening not to vote if their Major 1 is not released from jail. Their threats comes at a time when South Africa is heading to the poll later this year. Bushiri's arrest emanate from the case which the Hawks had been following since 2015. "No Major 1, No vote.
