Marula can boost your sexual life

Limpopo is the place to be this weekend when the province will be welcoming Marula season during the Go loma morula celebration in Ga-Sekororo outside Tzaneen. Go loma Marula or Ku Luma Vukanyi is a traditional way of getting the first taste of Marula beer for the season which is normally being done by men first before they can allow women to drink. It is however, the women who gather Marula and brew the same Marula beer.


The event will take place in a joint tourism attraction and cultural celebration whereby the department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism together with Sport Arts and Culture will join hands. This will also be the kick start of the Marula festival which will take place in March in Phalaborwa.

The taste of morula beer differs and there is the one believed to be assisting men to perform between the sheets. It is believed to be the sexual booster. Ba-Phalaborwa Mayor Pule Shayi says those who were born in November maybe the products of the boost from such Morula.

"Morula differes with the taste and with the work done on human body. Most of those who were born in November may be as a results of the boost their parents got from Marula beer. The taste of that body booster is sour compared to the general Marula beer we drink," he says during the Marula festival launch.

MEC for Limpopo Economic Development Environment and Tourism Seaparo Sekoati, said they announced the development of the Limpopo Marula Hub as a Marula Industrial park where various Marula products will be produced. He stated that it will be produced in terms of the market demands and  serve as the new home of the annual Limpopo Marula festival.

"This is a major breakthrough for our rural communities that every year derives benefits from the sale of this magnificent wild fruit. Finally, we will commence with the projected all year round beneficiation out of the fruit in terms of pulping for juice and other products identified through research and also to prolong the shelve life of this seasonal tree," said Sekoati.
